Terms of Use

4.1 Account Creation

• You must create an account to use PalmEvents services
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have parental consent

4.2 Account Security

• You are solely responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@sportspass.rw
• We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized account access

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept payments through:

• MTN Mobile Money Rwanda
• Airtel Money Rwanda
• Cards and international mobile money through Flutterwave Rwanda

5.2 Transaction Fees

• Transaction fees may apply to purchases and will be clearly displayed before payment
• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified

5.3 Pricing and Availability

• Ticket prices are set by event organisers
• Prices may change without notice until purchase is completed
• Tickets are subject to availability

6.1 Standard Refund Policy

• Ticket purchases are generally final and non-refundable
• Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion for technical issues on our platform
• Processing fees are non-refundable

6.2 Event Cancellation or Postponement

• If an event is cancelled: Full refund minus processing fees will be issued within 14 business days
• If an event is postponed: Tickets remain valid for the new date, or refund may be requested within 7 days of postponement announcement
• Force majeure events may affect refund timelines

6.3 Refund Processing

• Refunds will be processed to the original payment method
• Refund processing may take 5–10 business days depending on payment provider

7.1 Ticket Validity

• Tickets are valid only for the specific event, date, time, and venue stated
• Digital tickets must be presented via the PalmEvents app for entry
• Screenshots or printed copies of tickets are not valid for entry

7.2 Transfer and Resale Restrictions

• Tickets cannot be transferred, resold, or distributed without our prior written consent
• Unauthorized resale may result in ticket cancellation without refund
• Commercial resale of tickets is strictly prohibited

7.3 Age Restrictions

• Some events may have age restrictions as determined by event organisers
• Children 3 years and older require a paid ticket for football events
• Age verification may be required at venue entry

8.1 Information We Collect

We collect and process:

• Personal information (name, phone number, email address)
• Payment information (processed securely through our payment partners)
• Device and usage information
• Location data when using the app

8.2 Use of Information

We use your information to:

• Process ticket purchases and provide customer service
• Send important updates about your purchases and events
• Improve our services and user experience
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

8.3 Data Sharing

• We may share data with event organisers and venues for event management purposes
• We comply with data protection regulations including obtaining necessary certificates from Rwanda's Data Protection Office
• We do not share personal data with government entities except as required by law

8.4 Data Retention

• Account information is retained while your account is active
• Transaction records are retained for 7 years for regulatory compliance
• Marketing preferences are retained until you opt out

8.5 Data Security

• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data
• Payment information is processed using secure, PCI-compliant systems
• We regularly update our security practices and systems

11.1 Our Rights

• PalmEvents, our logo, and related marks are trademarks of UrID Technologies
• The App and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
• All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved

11.2 User Content

• You retain rights to any content you provide through the App
• By using the App, you grant us a limited license to use your content for service provision
• You must not upload content that infringes third-party rights

12.1 Service Availability

• We strive to maintain App availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
• We are not liable for service interruptions due to maintenance, technical issues, or force majeure events

12.2 Liability Limits

• Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law

12.3 Event-Related Issues

• We are not responsible for event cancellations, changes, or venue issues beyond our control
• We are not liable for personal injury or property damage at events
• Event organizers are responsible for the quality and safety of their events

14.1 Informal Resolution

• Before pursuing legal action, please contact us at support@sportspass.rw to resolve disputes
• We will work in good faith to address your concerns within 30 days

14.2 Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda
• Any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Rwanda
• You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Rwandan courts

14.3 Alternative Dispute Resolution

• For disputes under RWF 1,000,000, we encourage mediation through recognised mediation services
• Both parties retain the right to pursue claims in small claims court

16.1 Termination by You

• You may delete your account and stop using the App at any time
• Outstanding ticket obligations remain valid after account termination

16.2 Termination by Us

• We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations
• We may discontinue the service with 60 days' notice
• Termination does not affect your rights to purchased tickets for future events

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and UrID Technologies regarding PalmEvents.

17.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

17.3 Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to affiliates or successors.

17.4 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
